Meet Mia, an Adoptable from OPIN (Outreach to Pets in Need)

If belly rubbing was a sport, I'd be an Olympian!

My name is Mia. My life has been pretty hard so far, but my motto still is, Don't worry, be happy.

When I first came to OPIN, I was very thin and did not feel so good. For awhile I stayed at the vet's, where I learned how much I love people. If fact, I have never met a person of any size that I don't love.

If you can come and meet me, you can scratch my belly. I love belly rubs! Once you start I will give you two hours to stop. One of the volunteers says he has never met a dog who loves people more than I do, and that is true! They also tell me how athletic I am.

When it comes to running and jumping, I am just good at it. But when you call my name I will come running to you. My favorite thing is belly rubs, did I mention that? And also sitting with my people, even more than running around. So if you are looking for someone who is not too crazy about running around, I am your girl.

If you pat your chest, I will jump up so I can kiss you; I love to give kisses. I have few worries in life. Some people got worried that I was chewing my tail, so I am missing some of it; they tell me that makes me more special a one-of-a-kind.

Awhile back I was playing cards with some other dogs and they cheated me out of my money, so now when I see other dogs I get mad and try to get my money out of them. Sometimes it's a problem, but if my people remind me with the leash, I will let bygones be bygones. Come scratch my belly!
