Authorities are investigating the death of a 42-year-old woman after she fell from the 11th floor of a Stamford apartment complex, police said Wednesday.
According to Lt. Diedrich Hohn, the woman fell from a deck off the 11th story of the Fountain Terrace apartment complex at 91 Strawberry Hill Avenue at approximately 6:35 p.m. Tuesday.
The woman succumbed to her injuries at Stamford Hospital Tuesday night, Hohn said.
The case is currently under investigation to determine whether the fall was intentional, unintentional or accidental, Hohn said. An autopsy was scheduled to be conducted Wednesday.
The woman's identity is being withheld until the victim's family could be contacted, he said.
