Stamford Man, Shot in Leg, Makes Third Shooting in Four Days

Multiple shooters fired multiple shots, police said.

Multiple shooters opened fire near a home in the middle of the block on Perry St., between Fairfield Ave. and Taylor/Ann streets, just after 10 p.m., police said Tuesday night.

A black male was reportedly shot in the leg and was taken to Stamford Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Further information about the victim was unavailable, though Sgt. Paul Guzda did say the man was from the West Side of the city. 

"We got a report of shots fired, came out here, there's not a lot else we can say at this point," Guzda said. "We're not getting a lot of cooperation from the community."

Guzda said he believes the shootings are related to the recent string of deadly violence that's occurred since Saturday evening when . Just before midnight Tuesday  near Norwalk hospital, appearing to have been dumped there. Now this shooting, which could have been much worse. 

"Of course [it's all connected.] You've got to believe it's all connected," Guzda said. "We just don't know how yet."
