Stamford's Minetto's Under New Management, but with an Old Haunt Feel

Minetto's Italian Ristorante in Stamford may be under new management, but Adi Memeti said customers shouldn't worry about any drastic changes coming to the family-style food they love.

"We want to keep the same style of food, with a better focus on the experience people have and the service they receive," Memeti said.

Born in Albania, Memeti was a teacher in Switzerland before moving to Houston, Texas, to become a chef and eventually open his own restaurant. Seven years ago, he came to Stamford.

While in the city, Memeti operated Habana and then Quattro Regali at 245 Hope Street for five years before the building was sold and he took over at the current Minetto's location at 299 Long Ridge Road at the beginning of April.

"My whole life in the United States, I've been in the food service industry," said Memeti. "Here, I will bring my style, my experience. Im so happy to see old customers from my past restaurants coming in to support this new endeavor, and thats what I want to do-make it feel like a ace you've always been. I want it to feel like home."

Minetto's is open 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch Monday through Friday and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday for dinner. There's a large wine selection for patrons, a private room downstairs for parties and patio seating available.
