Marisa Torrieri
Marisa Torrieri is a writer and guitar teacher who lives in Fairfield County.
The Silver Spring, MD native, has a master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Il., and a bachelor's degree in journalism for the University of Maryland, College Park. She writes about technology for a Norwalk marketing firm, where she is the creative force behind the company's sole woman-penned gadget-focused blog. Additionally, she has written and edited for a number of media outlets, including Metromix New York, The Baltimore Examiner, OK! magazine, am New York, ZINK magazine and Venus magazine. Her work has also appeared in DailyCandy, The Village Voice and The Washington Post. She teaches on Sundays at Brooklyn Guitar School, and has taught guitar and vocals at the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls in Brooklyn, and The Rock 'n' Roll Camp for Girls in Portland, Oregon. Marisa enjoys going to rock shows, running, Bikram yoga, road trips, reading The Wall Street Journal, watching reality TV and talking to friendly strangers.
