I am a proud Stamford, CT citizen of 11 years.  and  the Chief Career Inspiration Officer and "career therapist" of Careerfolk, LLC. Based in downtown Stamford, we provide an holistic approach to helping people find clarity, purpose or there next fulfilling professional role. Our clients have ranged in age from 17 to 71 and we work with individuals at ever career transition point.  Specifically, we offer a unique blend of psychological counseling and concrete coaching that takes our clients on a journey from soul search to social search. I  guide job seekers and career changers through in-depth self-exploration to help them find or create fulfilling and meaningful work. I then help peopel leverage social media to accelerate their job search and achieve long-term career and business goals. We run local workshops and group coaching programs that attract participants from Stamford, as well as all the surrounding towns.

In my blog, I write about a broad range of topics related to career and small business development including the trends affecting career management,  the new tools necessary for managing ones career or small business and  the psychological impact of  today's chalenging economy.

I have a Masters in Counseling from New York University and training at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy so I am  always wearing my therapeutic hat. When my clients are ready, I then empower them with the knowledge they need to conduct a 21st century job search and the tools to develop their professional online identity for long term career insurance. My own digital footprint has led to more than 50 percent of new business, multiple media interviews, and appearances on CNN (twice at the Bedford Diner while hosting my job search support group) and NYTV&#39;s Jobhunt as a Social Media &amp; Job Search Expert.<br>I am contributor to The Twitter Job Search Guide and have been quoted and featured in various major and local news outlets including The Stamford Advocate, New York Times, International Business Times, Fortune.com, FoxBusiness.com, Daily News, New York Daily News, Fairfield Parent.

Donna was the founding Director of Career Services at the New School. A native of South Africa she lives with her 2 girls and husband, 3-D Animator, Michael Swartz.
