When I'm not working, I like to play chess and try to play in at least two chess tournaments a year. My United States Chess Federation rating is 1528, which makes me a Class C, or middle-of-the-pack, tournament player.

I also like to read (mostly newspapers and news magazines, but also books on chess and cosmology); listen to the piano wizardry of Art Tatum, who is, in my opinion, the greatest pianist who ever lived; listen to political talk shows on the radio (I like the debates); and I've been planning to go back to the gym for about six months now.

The charities I support on a monthly basis include Covenant House in New York, Save the Children (I sponsor a child in the Philippines) and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
