Use of the fields is by permit only and the facility stays open until sunset, but games are usually played on into to the night due to lighting on the premise.

Opened in 1963, Turn of River is one of five public middle schools serving the city of Stamford. Located on Vine RoadMore across the street from the Harry Bennett branch of the Ferguson Library, Turn of River serves a diverse group of students in grades 6-8 and is "dedicated to developing children into responsible and caring individuals." The school's curriculum includes classes in social studies, language arts and math, and through the Stamford Youth Foundation, students are given the chance to participate in intramural sports.
