Stamford Hospital-Main Campus

<p>Stamford Hospital is a non-profit community teaching hospital that serves the entire city and its surrounding communities. Founded in 1896, Stamford Hospital's Main Campus provides 305 inpatient beds in medicine, surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry and medical and surgical critical care units. More than 550 doctors are currently affiliated with the hospital.</p> <p>Stamford Hospital provides signature services via 13 specialty centers: The Carl and Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center, the Children's Specialty Center, the Cyberknife Center, the Center for Integrative Medicine & Wellness, the Center for Robotic Surgery, the Diabetes & Endocrine Center, Endoscopy Center, Infectious Diseases, Pulmonary Medicine, the Center for Sleep Medicine, the Vaccine Center, the Women's Breast Center and the Wound Care Center.</p> <p>The Main Campus is also equipped with an Emergency Department, which handles life-threatening injuries 24 hours a day, as well as a Critical Care Unit, Stroke Center and Trauma Services. And as a Planetree Hospital, Stamford Hospital is committed to patient-centered care by offering pastoral and pallative care, case management, nutritional counseling, hospice and social services.</p>
