Located on the 7th floor of the Stamford Town Center, Sbarro is pretty much an institution there—having been in the mall for nearly as long as the food court has existed (and surviving its renovation at a time when many stores went under). Founded in 1956 as a Brooklyn <i>salumera </i>(Italian grocery store), its large, tasty, convenient slices (with cheese, pepperoni, veggie and deluxe toppings) are popular with customers as they take a quick break from shopping.
