Newfield Elementary School, located on Pepper Ridge Road, serves a diverse group of students from kindergarten through fifth grade, using the Responsive Classroom philosophy, which promotes a social curriculum. Students benefit from a program that includes science, art, math, music and social studies classes and encourages an active use of technology. Newfield participates in the Stamford Public Schools' After School Care (ROSCCO) program, which benefits the children of working parents, and serves as a site for one of Stamford Recreation Services’ Summer Activity Programs.
