Marshalls Department Store
Founded in 1956 and owned by TJX Companies, Marshalls is second in the U.S. only to its sister company, TJ Maxx when it comes to off-price apparel and home fashions. The store is not shy about how those markdowns are made possible, either — Marshalls constantly makes deals with the top retailers and designers who have over-produced or over-ordered. The Summer Street store (located at the Ridgeway Center shopping plaza, right next to Michaels) is a colorfully chaotic wonderland of shoes, clothing, accessories and home goods.
