City of Stamford Office of Assessment and Tax Collection

Located on the sixth floor of the Stamford Government Center, the Office of Assessment and Tax Collection receives and processes city tax payments. Residents also can contact this office in order to reach the Board of Assessment Appeals, which serves as an "appeal body for taxpayers who believe that the city assessor erred in the valuation of their properties or erroneously denied them exemptions." Hearings are held in Stamford every April for residents wishing to appeal their real estate, personal property or supplemental motor vehicle assessments.
