In community news, the Stamford Town Clerk's Office has some new history on display (with hopes that the city will have even more of it soon), the Connecticut Special Olympics 2014 team debuted at Chelsea Piers this week, Stamford non-profit Soldier Socks kicked off a campaign to give paralyzed soldiers back their legs and officials ceremonially broke ground on the J.M. Wright Technical High School.

In police news, a man who allegedly handed a police officer a marijuana cigarette was allegedly found with crack cocaine stuffed down his pants, an allegedly drunk Stamford teen came speeding around a corner right in front of a police officer, a man out on bail allegedly led police on two chases in one day and three men were charged in a case involving large amounts of marijuana being shipped from Arizona to Stamford.
