Culture and Laughs for a Good Cause in Stamford this Weekend

Hey Stamford, the weekend starts off warm enough at 70 degrees, but there's a 90-percent chance of rain Friday. On Saturday, temperatures reach a mostly sunny 65 but there's no rain predicted. Sunday, however, drops all the way down to a partly cloudy 45, according to weather.com. Check these tide charts for your daily high and low tides.

Check out the November Exhibit at the Geary Gallery in neighboring Darien this week, kicking off Friday at 9:30 a.m. Nick Savides, of Brooklyn, NY, presenting his award-winning realist paintings in an exhibit titled Nick Savides:
Contemplating Time, Light and Place.
In Stamford Friday, the Loft Artists Association is holding its first Open Studios at 6 p.m. at its new location. If you're not free Friday—or just need more art in your life—check out the Sunday debut of Sarah Hood Salomon's exhibit at the neighboring New Canaan Library, titled Unopened Drawers, starting at 3 p.m.

If you're not through with Halloween by Friday, head to Rodizio Grill for the Day After Halloween Party. From 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., a $30 entry fee gets you two Rodizio signature cocktails, complimentary appetizers and festive music by DJ Spin. Come in costume to win prizes.

Paul Reiser comes to Stamford's Palace Theater for a night of comedy to benefit Mikey's Way, a non-proft organization that helps fight childhood cancer. Doors open at 7 p.m. Saturday.
