Wrestling & Fencing, End Alzheimer's, Talk Like a Pirate, Fall Physician's Speakers Bureau

It looks like the weather for the week in Stamford kicks off in the low 70s and holds pretty steady until Thursday and Friday, when it's expected to raise a bit to the mid 70s before dropping back down to 73 for both Saturday and Sunday. Rain currently doesn't look likely. You can check the high and low tide schedules using these tide charts.

Stamford Youth Wrestling begins Tuesday at Westhill High School. Meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Wrestling Room, just off the main gym. The Stamford Fencing Center is also holding an open house Monday starting at 7 p.m. at 425 Fairfield Avenue.

Bar Rosso is hosting the 2nd annual Eat, Drink & Make a Difference to End Alzheimer's on Monday starting at 5:30 p.m. at 30 Spring Street. A portion of Monday's proceeds goes to the Alzheimer's Association of Connecticut.

The Stamford Hospital and New Canaan YMCA will be presenting "How to Live to be 100" on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the New Canaan YMCA at 564 South Avenue. This free event is part of their Fall Physician's Speakers Bureau and will feature insight from a Stamford Hospital Cardiologist. Advanced registration is required as seating is limited. On Thursday at 1:15, the two organizations pair up again for "Take Control: Help for Women with Bladder & Pelvic Problems" with a Stamford Urogynecologist. Same restrictions apply

Thursday is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and neighboring Pump It Up Norwalk is ready to celebrate with a fun-filled day for kids. Stamford's Barnes & Noble has its own festivities planned for youngsters.
