The Goings-On Election Week in Stamford
It looks like the weather for the week in Stamford kicks off with a mostly sunny 47. Clouds linger all week, but temperatures climb to61 by Wednesday, though that change in temps brings showers on Thursday with a high of 65. By Friday, temperatures drop back down to a windy 50 degrees. You can check the high and low tide schedules using these tide charts.
Guys and gals, Tuesday is Election Day. Stamford's got a hotly contest mayoral race and all 40 districts on the Board of Representatives have someone running. A number of seats on the Board of Finance and Board of Elections are up for grabs as well. Doesn't matter who you're voting for or what your views are, you have a privilege many parts of the world do not in that you get to have a say in electing your leader, so get out there and do your civic duty!
On Monday, head to the Bartlett Arboretum to learn about invasive species of plants that can inhabit your local flora. Carrie Sears, Chair of The Invasives Project-Pound Ridge and an advanced Master Gardener, will be the instructor for the dead. Check here for more info and ticket prices.
Music Together of Fairfield County is hosting a free music together trial class at the Chelsea Piers CT Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. The program provides music and movement classes for children ages newborn through 5 years of age. Check here for more info and RSVP details.
