County TV picks up three big wins

County TV won three games last week, including one over North Stamford rival Viking Construction. Instant Replay continues to dominate the Springdale Majors.

North Stamford/ Springdale Majors

County TV 8, Viking Construction 7 – June 1

Billy Burkhardt had three hits, including a walk-off, to drive County TV to a 8-7 victory over Viking Construction. Burkhardt also pitched three scoreless innings in relief. D.J. Hart collected three hits (RBI); Greg Marantz, two RBI; Jason Carroll, two hits (RBI); and Dylan Scheine, a double (RBI).

Dylan McGarry and Will Garofalo (two RBI) led Viking Construction with the bats. Zack Furnari pitched four strong innings and added two hits and two RBI.

County TV 16, Boot Camp 3 – June 2

T.J. Wainwright’s four hits led County TV as it stepped on Boot Camp 16-3 on June 2. Jason Carroll (three hits, three RBI) and Austin Scheine (two RBI) both had triples while Greg Marantz collected three RBI. Pitcher D.J. Hart tossed a complete game and helped his own cause with a homer and three RBI.

Mark Lombardo had two hits and an RBI for Boot Camp while rookie call-up Brian Smith collected his first hit and RBI in the Majors.

Italian Center 4, Clairol 1 – June 4

Christian Frattaroli cracked a three-run homer and pitched two-hit ball over five innings as Italian Center beat Clairol 4-1 on June 4. Ryan Kennedy, who made a great running catch in the sixth, and Max Savitt had two hits. Jack Seegers picked up the save, and backstop Ethan Skaug caught a solid game.

Joshua Harper had both Clairol hits while Mike Iorfino drove in the lone run. Ben Servedio and Calvin McKeever pitched well in relief.

Instant Replay 10, Italian Center 2 – June 6 

Great pitching from David Collazo and Connor Sullivan helped Instant Replay hold back The Italian Center 10-2 on June 6. IR hit three home runs: Jay Lockwood (three-run HR), Matt Jester (two-run HR) and Anthony Possidento (two-run HR, three hits).

IC received hits from Ethan Skaug, Chris Seitaridis, Jack Seegers (single, double) and Ryan Kennedy (double). Christian Frattaroli and Christian Rubino-Chuckas added strong defense. 

County TV 5, Clairol 4 (7 innings) – June 7

T.J. Wainwright powered County TV over Clairol 5-4 on June 7, pitching 5.1 innings of one-hit ball, striking out 13 and hitting a three-run homer. Austin Scheine had three hits and an RBI for County while Greg Marantz, D.J. Hart and Billy Burkhardt each added hits.

Calvin McKeever pitched 5.1 strong innings, fanning eight, and giving up just two earned runs. Chris Price led Clairol with two hits and an RBI while McKeever added an RBI double. John Matura collected his first Majors hit.

AAA/Jr. Majors

Buffalo Wild Wings 9, P2 Telecom 3 -- May 31

Buffalo Wild Wings defeated P2 Telecom 9-3 on May 31 led by Ryder Kurtz’s three hits. Ryder and brothers Nick (two hits) and Sean Huempfner pitched well. P2 received offense from Dylan Winford, Sam Ramos, Brandon Chen and Jackson Zak.

U.S. Computer 7, Buffalo Wild Wings 3 -- June 3

Hunter Sparks and Michael Bellacicco each smacked two doubles for U.S. Computer Connection in its 7-3 win over Buffalo Wild Wings on June 3. Gianne Jones (double), Hunter McCarthy (RBI) and Sean Jones (two runs) added to the attack. Casey Ciocci and Connor McGee pitched well.
Jordan Bowbeer (triple, double) and Spencer Campbell (triple) led the Wings with Alec Frohn (bunt RBI) and Sean Huempfner (RBI) chipping in hits. 

John M. Stanise CPA 5, Haggerty Pools 4 – June 4

Andrew Buchkowski’s bases-loaded triple allowed John M. Stanise CPA to walk off with a 5-4 win over Haggerty Pools on June 4. Justin Orecchio fanned 10 for Stanise. Kevin Unger had an RBI single while Aryan Kapoor and Christopher Gatti swiped two bases each.

Eric Osterhus collected two RBI at bat and fanned 8 in three frames on the hill for Haggerty. Jeffrey D'Ambrosio whiffed six over the remainder. Vincent DiTeodoro had three hits and Christian Rubino-Chuckas, Michael Maounis and Joseph Malozzi added to the offense.

P2 Telecom 7, Instant Replay 4 – June 4

P2 Telecom received power from Jackson Zak, Dylan Winford, Jakob Sargent, Jerry Conetta and Henry Oliver in a 7-4 win over Instant Replay on June 4. Brandon Chen added a key sacrifice RBI while Ryan Page pitched great in relief.

Instant Replay’s Matthew Tierney (six K's) and Vishnu Duriseti (seven K's) pitched well with Tierney adding two RBI. Bennett Ehret ripped a double while Ralphy Thiersaint and Andrew Hodel played solid defense at catcher.

Vinny’s Backyard 8, Haggerty Pools 5 – June 7

Watt Lisack and Kyle Bancroft each had two hits and two RBI while pitching well to propel Vinny’s Backyard over Haggerty Pool 8-5 on June 7. Levi Lisack doubled with two RBIs and Andrew Carroll singled with two RBIs.

For Haggerty Pools, Christian Rubino-Chuckas yielded just two hits and fanned seven in three innings of work. Rodney Louis pitched well and made a magnificent snag on a line drive. Eric Osterhus, Jeffrey D'Ambrosio and Joseph Malozzi provided hits.

P2 Telecom 3, U.S. Computer Connection 1 – June 7

Dylan Winford and Ryan Page combined for 11 strikeouts as P2 Telecom handed U.S. Computer Connection its first loss of the season, 3-1, on June 7. Lucas Giantomidis homered and Sam Ramos added a big hit. Art Kastrati made a great catch at third for the final out.

Hunter Sparks homered for U.S. Computer while Hunter McCarthy played solid defense in right.

Buffalo Wild Wings 8, Instant Replay 5 -- June 8

Ryder Kurtz’s three RBI lead Buffalo Wild Wings to an 8-5 win over Instant Replay on June 8. Jordan Bowbeer, Nick Valenzano, Jonathan Decker, Nick Huempfner and Sean Huempfner all had key hits and RBI for Wings. Jack Bello flashed the leather at second.

Bennett Ehret’s two hits and doubles by Asher Berni and Matthew Tierney powered IR. Joseph Colon played stellar defense at first base.

P2 Telecom 13, Haggerty Pools 12  – June 8

Christian Rubino-Chuckas racked up four RBIs and Rodney Louis recorded a two-run single for Haggerty Pools in a 13-12 loss to P2 Telecom on June 8. Jeffrey D'Ambrosio, Francesca Rubino-Chuckas, Eric Osterhus, Michael Lueck and Andrew Zapata also helped Haggerty get on the board while Vincent DiTeodoro tripled (RBI) and pitched well.

Lucas Giantomidis powered P2 with two doubles and a triple. Dylan Winford was on base all four times while Jakob Sargent and Ryan Page each had two hits. Jerry Conetta pitched well.

AA/Minors

Plaza Realty 10, GCG 4 – June 5

Plaza Realty's Joseph Colon had three hits and RBI as it downed GCG 10-4 on June 5. Nate Smith also had three RBI and, along with Jake Frattaroli, played good defense for Plaza. Bennett Vetti roped a double and scored twice. Matthew Feeny and Brady Pesaturo paced GCG with two hits each.

Toyota of Stamford, 9 John M. Stanise CPA 8 - June 5

Toyota of Stamford outlasted John M. Stanise CPA 9-8 in a see-saw June 5 game. Every Toyota player had at least one hit and eight different players scored. Mason Mui and Bruce Rutherford each had two hits for Stanise.

Astacio Plumbing 9, GCG 6 – June 6

Logan Bruno, Bailey Gendason, James Raidt and Luke Goodreds collected three hits apiece for Astacio Plumbing in its 9-6 win over GCG on June 6. Kai Rossetti had three hits and Loic Williams two for GCG.

Stamford Toys 15, Plaza Realty 7 – June 6

Caleb Weiss racked up four hits and four runs while Ethan Tracey had two hits as Stamford Toys downed Plaza Realty 15-7 on June 6. Jack Driscoll had two doubles and two RBI, Bennett Vetti belted three hits and C.J. Demarco had a pair for Plaza.

Toyota of Stamford 4, GCG 2 – June 7

William Markline of Toyota of Stamford had a couple of doubles, pitched a scoreless inning and made a pair of big defensive stops while all 10 of his teammates had at least one hit in a 4-2 win over GCG on June 7. Ben Gragg collected three hits and Patrick Fahan had two for GCG.

Plaza Realty 8, John M. Stanise CPA 6 – June 7

Tim Wong had a three-hit, three-RBI game as Plaza Realty outlasted John M. Stanise CPA 8-6 on June 7. Joseph Colon and Andrew Lanzillotti both had a pair of hits. Bennett Vetti and Jake Frattaroli did a good job in their pitching debuts.

Stamford Toys 4, Extreme Auto Body 3 – June 7

Case Clapps, Matthew Quaglino and Caleb Weiss ignited a sixth inning rally to propel Stamford Toys to a 4-3 victory over Extreme Auto Body on June 7. Nicholas Cannon had the walk-off hit and, along with Zach Voros, pitched well.

GCG 19, Super K Electric 15 – June 8

GCG outlasted Super K Electric in a 19-15 slugfest that saw 53 hits for the two teams on May 31. GCG’s Owen Van Dusen led with four while Owen Perry, Loic Williams, Ben Gragg (five RBI) and Kai Rossetti (four RBI) each had three. Brady Pesaturo made an outstanding catch in right field to start a double play.

Super K's Justin Fuchs, Connor Hoch and Blake Cortell all smacked five hits. Lorenzo Terrenzio added three (four RBI) and Jackson Wilkes (three RBI) had two. 

Plaza Realty 15, Extreme Auto Body 8

Tyler Thielen and Will Moskowitz tallied three hits and C.J. Demarco and Andrew Lanzillotti each had a pair of hits and RBI while playing great defense as Plaza Realty downed Extreme Auto Body 15-8.
