The Trinity Catholic boys basketball team avoided a second straight loss Friday - barely.
Kevin Leumene scored a team-high 16 points as the Crusaders survived another upset bid with a 61-54 overtime victory against city rival Stamford.
Kenny Wright hit a jumpe in the final seconds of regulation to force overtime. Trinity Catholic, which improved to 5-2, was coming off a 43-41 loss to Greewich on Tuesday.

Schadrac Casimir added 14 for the Crusaders, who host undefeated St. Joseph in a showdown on Tuesday. Jason Boswell contributed 12 points for the Crusaders.
Bryan Boderick scored 14 points and brother Barry added 13 for the Black Knights, who dropped to 2-5. Shawn Padilla chipped in with 12 for Stamford.
