Stamford has elevated a boys U15 team to premier status. In the team's first challenge as premier, Stamford FC took first place in the preseason Ramapo Valley Soccer Club IceBreaker Tournament. Stamford earned the medal with two wins and a tie. In their first game, FC beat Vermont Olympic Development Program 4 - 0. Twade Foster scored a hat trick and Denny Lopez scored the fourth goal on a penalty kick. Lopez and Jake Atkinson also provided assists on Foster's goals. In the second game, the defense played particularly well against a physical Cortland Intrepid, playing to a nil - nil draw. Goalkeeper Greg Robinov notched 9 saves in that game. In the final game against Everton, Francisco Romero and Joey Schinella scored to earn FC the win and the third shutout of the day. Also contributing to the tournament win were Jake Brandt, Niko Apostolidis, Sam Ruzzi, Sam Smit and Mark Soraluz on defense and Jorge Alvarez, Nick Romero, Martin Davila and Eric Mojica on offense.

Greenwich's Sean Obi, who helped lead the Greens Farms Academy boys basketball team to an 18-5 record, has been named to the Fairchester Athletic Association first team.

Obi has averaged a double-double in every game he has played for the Green Dragons, who earned a berth in the New England Prep School Athletic Council Class C championship tournament.
GFA's Brien Comey of Westport earned a spot on the all-honorable mention teams.

Other first-team picks included Darren Payen, Vic Joshua and B.J. Davis of Hamden Hall; Alex Gendleman and Tyler Fernandez of Rye Country Day; Laurent Firlotte and Lucas Hausman of Hopkins; Norwalk's Drew Sawyer of King; Brunswick's Billy Murphy and Greg Braithaite of the Masters School.
