The St. Joseph boys basketball team moved within three games of an undefeated regular season on Monday.
Timajh Parker scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the top-ranked Cadets hammered 74-56 to improve to 17-0 overall and 15-0 in the FCIAC.

James Jennings added 19 points, Quincy McKnight scored 12 and Jonathan Dzurenda chipped in with 10 for St. Joseph. Patrick Hopkins also grabbed 10 rebounds and scored nine points for the winners.
St. Joseph built a 22-14 lead after the first quarter and extended it 38-27 at halftime. The Cadets then put put away the contest with a 14-8 spurt to take a 52-35 edge into the final period.

Bryan Boderick scored 17 points and brother Barry added 14 for Stamford, which dropped to 9-8 and 8-7.
Ancel Nevers contributed 12 points for the Black Knights, who had won their four previous games.

Jason Boswell led three players in double figures with 17 points as the Trinity Catholic boys basketball team defeated Wilton 69-55 on Monday.
The Crusaders improved to 13-5 overall and 12-4 in the FCIAC while the Warriors dropped to 8-9 and 6-9.
Kevin Leumene added 15 points and Schadrac Casimir chipped in with 13 for Trinity Catholic, which jumped out to a 16-7 lead after the first quarter. The Crusaders then extended their advantage to 35-21 at the half.
Chris Nugent scored 20 points and Eric Houska added 12 for Wilton, which played Trinity Catholic even in the second half.
The Warriors were playing their first game since clinching the school's first state tournament berth since the 1990-2000 season.

The Westhill boys basketball team posted a 68-54 victory over New Canaan on Monday as Chris Walter and Tony Dobbinson combined for 44 points.
Walter scored 24 points and Dobbinson added 14 for the Vikings, who improved to 12-5 overall and 11-4 in the FCIAC.
Sam Dorrissant - the third member of Westhill's Big Three - added 12 points for the Vikings, jumped out to a 21-12 lead after the first quarter and nursed the lead from there.
Much to its credit, New Canaan made it interesting in the second half, pulling within 46-42 after three quarters.
But Westhill woke up it the fourth quarter and outscored the Rams 19-11 over the final eight minutes to win going away.
Willie Burger scored 20 points and Nick Dupuy added nine for New Canaan, which dropped to 1-16 and 0-15.

The Wilton girls basketball team took care of business Monday, defeating Trinity Catholic 46-40 at the Zeoli Field House to clinch a spot in the FCIAC playoffs.
Wilton, which improved to 12-6 overall and 12-5 in league play, closes the regular season on Wednesday at Bridgeport Central.
With a win, the Warriors will nail down the No. 4 seed in the FCIAC playoffs and earn the right to play quarterfinal game at home on Saturday.
Trinity Catholic concluded the regular season at 13-7 and 12-6 and will be seeded either fourth or sixth for the FCIAC playoffs.
Mackenzie Griffin scored 16 and Kellie Hurd added 14 for the Crusaders. The contest was close throughout with Wilton holding a 20-18 lead at halftime and a 29-25 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

The Westhill girls basketball team defeated New Canaan 51-48 on Monday.
Sarah Mannelly 28 points was not enough for the Rams, who dropped to 10-9 overall and 8-9 in the FCIAC.
Kelly Armstrong added nine points for the Rams, who forged a 23-23 tie at halftim, but Westhill turned around the game by outscoring New Canaan 12-5 in the third period to take a 35-28 lead into the final period.
Tyler Evans scored 18 points and Megan D'Alessandro added 11 for the Vikings (10-9, 9-8).
Each team will look to clinch winning years in their regular-season finales on Wednesday.
However, New Canaan has to play at undefeated Danbury while Westhill is home for playoff-bound Norwalk.
The loss eliminated New Canaan from the FCIAC playoffs while the win kept Westhill alive, at least mathematically.
