With Valladares leading the way, Stamford FC dominated possession and displayed fine teamwork and passing skills throughout the victory.

Within six minutes of play, Kevin Kim pushed up from defense, intercepted an Everton pass and passed to Valladares, whose strong 25-yard midfield shot sailed over the head of the Everton keeper.

Thirty minutes later, Isaac Lowell scored on a left-footed shot off a pass from Valladares. Ralph Danielle slipped it past the goalie for the third goal after Lowell advanced the ball through multiple defenders and fed Danielle.

Valladares scored his second goal late in the first half on a nice lead pass down the right side from Lowell.

In the second half, Valladares scored from the right side on another sharp feed from Lowell to complete his hat trick.

Victor Gjuraj scored the sixth goal unassisted after beating the goalie with a ground shot before Jeffrey Beltran completed the scoring. Left wing Tomas Pinto-Leite had limited opportunities but was unable to convert.

In both halves, Everton had occasional offensive drives that were quickly thwarted by Stamford’s strong defense of Kevin Lam, Brad Kaptinski, Ariel De La Rosa, Jorge Ulloa and Jose Vergara. Max Atkinson Ben Strait, Jeffrey Beltran and Jack Duffy had strong contributions in the midfield. Keeper Danny Roca stopped three breakaways en route to the victory.

Stamford F.C. leads the premier league division with 24 goals scored this season and is tied with Valeo F.C. with only four goals scored against.

Stamford F.C will play Fairfield United away on Sunday on noon.

The Westhill boys soccer team looks to complete what would be a remarkable run to an FCIAC playoff spot on Wednesday when the Vikings host Fairfield Warde in their final regular-season game (4 p.m.)

Two spots are still up for grabs as Norwalk, Darien, Trumbull, Staples, Greenwich and Wilton have locked up berths.

Westhill (8-5-2, 26 points) is locked in a three-way battle with New Canaan (7-3-5, 26 points) and Danbury (6-2-7, 25 points) for the final two spots.

New hosts Fairfield Ludlowe on Wednesday ( 7 p.m.) and Danbury visits Bassick in a 4 p.m. start.

If Danbury beats Bassick ( 4-7-3) as it should, New Canaan and Westhill will need wins to get the last two spots.

The Vikings have gone 8-0-2 since starting 0-5, which included forfeiting three games for using an ineligible player.

Meanwhile, the Westhill field hockey team also can secure a spot in the FCIAC playoffs with a win at New Canaan on Wednesday (4 p.m.)

Heading into the final day of the regular season, four teams are fighting for the final two playoff spots: Greenwich (11 points), Westhill (11 points), Fairfield Ludlowe (10 points) and McMahon (10 points).

Also on Tuesday, McMahon hosts Ludlowe, and the winner of the contest also will punch its ticket to the playoffs.

Six teams have locked up spots in the playoffs, which begin on Saturday: Darien, Wilton, Norwalk, Staples, Stamford and New Canaan.
