Stamford F.C. 1, Northeast United 1 (Saturday)
Stamford F.C. was awakened when Northeast United scored in the 10 seconds, but it answered when Victor Gjuraj booted the ball in the upper right corner of the net off a corner kick from Isaac Lowell. Stamford attacked the net behind midfield pressure from Ralph Daniele, Jack Duffy, Jose Vergara and Max Atkinson. But despite outshooting Northeast United 10-0 in the second half, the team was unable to score again.
Stamford F.C. 1, CFC Azzuri 0 (Sunday)
Isaac Lowell, assisted by Jose Vergara, was able to take the ball from midfield and put Stamford on the board. CFC Azzuri threatened to tie the game with two penalty kicks, but keeper Danny Roca deflected both shots. The second half of the game was even, but Stamford’s defense of Jose Vergara, Kevin Lam, Brad Kaptinski, Ariel De La Rosa and Jorge Ulloa did an outstanding job of preventing any goals.
Stamford F.C. 3, Southeast CFC 2 (Sunday)
Leao Valladares scored a hat trick in the first half, putting Stamford in a comfortable 3-0 position. Tomas Pinto-Leite and Isaac Lowell had assists and offered strong offensive support.
