The Stamford football team finished off its best season in 16 years Thursday with a 34-6 victory over winless Westhill.
Bryan Boderick threw a pair of touchdown pases for the Blacks Knights, who finished the year with a 7-2 record, their best record and most wins in a season since 1995.

Stamford won its final six games following a 1-2 start and claimed the city championship. The Black Knights defeated Trinity Catholic earlier in the season.
Boderick gave the Black Knights a 6-0 lead in the first quarter with a 16-yard TD pass to Shawn Padilla.

After Chandler Foster scored on a 7-yard TD run, Boderick tossed a 5-yard TD pass to his brother Barry to give Stamford a 21-0 halftime lead.
The Black Knights extended their lead to 34-0 in the third quarter on TD runs of 1 yard by Chris Sparano-Huiban and 5 yards by Cameron Webb.
Westhill, which finished 0-10, avoided the shutout on R.J. Cooper's 9-yard TD pass to Yves Cassamajor in the fourth quarter.

Also Thursday, Trinity Catholic suffered a 49-14 loss to Wilton to finish the season at 3-7.
The Warriors, who clinched a winning season at 6-4, jumped out to a 28-point in the first half and never looked back.
Wilton quarterback Sean Carroll rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another score for the Warriors, who started and ended the season with three-game winning streaks. In between, however, Wilton dropped four in a row.
The Warriors put away Thursday's contest early, jumping to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter.
Connor Devane and quarterback Sean Carroll scored on TD runs of 22 yards, sandwiched around a touchdown by Alex Ward, who returned a blocked punt 5 yards for a score.
Wilton made it 28-0 on Carroll's 45-yard TD pass to Ward. After Catholic (3-7) got on the board on Danny O'Leary's 35-yard TD strike to Kevin Epp, the Warriors took a 35-7 halftime lead on Devane's 2-yard TD run.
Carroll's 2-yard keeper pushed the lead to 42-7. After a 2-yard TD run by the Crusaders' Michael Davis, Wilton capped the scoring on Charles Wong's 2-yard plunge
