Former Trinity Catholic basketball star Tevin Baskin will transfer from Quinnipiac, Bobcats coach Tom Moore confirmed. The 6-foot, 210-pound freshman played in 14 games for the Bobcats this past season, averaging just 2.9 points per game.
“Tevin and I met a couple of times over the last few weeks and he’s decided to transfer from Quinnipiac,” Moore told the New Haven Register. “Tevin’s a good kid and I wish him all the best in the future.”
Baskin was unable to play last season because he never gained clearance from the NCAA due to his academic transcripts. He finally became eligible to play during the second semester, but suffered a season-ending finger injury with five games left in the season.

Quinnipiac (22-10) finished second in the Northeast Conference and lost in the opening round of the CollegeInsider.com tournament.
While at Trinity Catholic, Baskin led the Crusaders to a four-year record of 102-12, including an FCIAC championship and runner-up finish in the Class M state tournament in 2008.

Baskin finished his high school career with 1,869 points, third on Trinity Catholic's all-time list.
