The boys basketball team fell to Bassick 66-52 Thursday in the championship game of the Kuczo tournament.
The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Black Knights, who dropped to 2-3.

Bassick, which also beat Stamford in last season's FCIAC championship game, improved to 5-0.
Tony Dobbinson and Sam Dorrisaint each scored 22 points as Westhill defeated McMahon 71-57 in the consolation game.

Yveson Cassamajor added 13 for the Vikings, who improved to 2-2.
Aundray Lathan scored 16 and Andy Mitchell chipped in with 10 for McMahon, which remained winless at 0-5.
McMahon only trailled 45-40 after three quarters but Westhill put away the contest with a 26-17 blitz over the final eight minutes.

After scoring only five points in the first half, the Westhill girls basketball team came roaring back to defeat Stamford 36-35 on Thursday.
Megan D'Alessandro scored 26 points for the Vikings (2-3), who trailed 19-5 at the intermission.
Kelsey Cognetta scored 17 for Stamford (5-2), which was outscored 12-3 in the third quarter to allow Westhill back into the contest. It was the second straight loss for the Black Knights, who started 5-0.

The Trinity Catholic girls basketball team defeated Cheshire 47-42 in the consolation game of the Rybczyk Tournament at Plainville.
Ali Palma scored 18 points and Grace Telesco added nine for the Crusaders, who improved to 4-3.
Trinity Catholic rallied from a 36-28 deficit entering the final quarter by outscoring the Rams 19-6 over the final eight minutes.
