Stamford Football Beats McMahon in 5th Straight Win

Bryan Boderick passed for more than 300 yards as the Black Knights defeated the Senators 28-20 to improve to 6-2

The Stamford football team continues to win.

Bryan Boderick tossed two touchdown passes and also ran for a score as the Black Knights defeated McMahon 28-20 Saturday for their fifth straight victory.

Coming of last week's 36-29 upset of New Canaan, their first win over the Rams since 1977, the Black Knights improved to 6-2.

After a scoreless first period, Boderick tossed TD passes of 9 and 5 yards in to his brother Barry in the second quarter, giving Stamford a 14-7 halftime lead.

Boderick passed for 308 yards with his brother grabbing 11 passes for 108 yards.

McMahon (3-6) scored in the second quarter on Damien Vega's 28-yard TD strike to Ryan Scott.

The Black Knights extended their lead to 20-6 on Chandler Foster's 5-yard TD scamper in the third period.

McMahon again pulled within a score on Kyle Jordan's 9-yard TD run, but Stamford answered on Bryan Boderick's 1-yard keeper that made it 28-13.

The Senators capped the scoring in the fourth quarter on Vega's 1-yard TD run.

Stamford completes its season on Thanksgiving against Westhill. A victory would give the Black Knights seven wins for the first time since 1995.

McMahon looks to play the role of spoiler against Norwalk, which is seeking its first state tournament appearance since 1998.
