Youth Baseball and Throwing Injuries Prevention Seminar

Paul Sethi, MD, orthopedic surgeon, Alicia Hirscht, PT, DPT, and Mitch Hoffman of Bobby Valentine Sports Academy

Participation in baseball and other team sports has countless benefits for kids beyond being good exercise.  Good self esteem, stronger communication skills, learning how to cooperate and contribute to a team are a few.  Along with the positives; however, are risks for sports injuries that can take the fun out of the game.  The ONS Foundation for Clinical Research and Education, Inc. will present a free program designed to raise awareness of the potential injuries associated with "throwing sports" and offer tips for keeping kids on the playing fields and out of the doctor's office.  The program is being co-sponsored by the OGRCC (Old Greenwich-Riverside Community center), and will take place at Eastern Middle School, 51 Hendrie Avenue in Riverside, CT.  Admission is free, but reservations are required.  To register for this seminar, please call (203) 637-3659 or (203) 869-3131 or email ogrcc@yahoo.com
