Stamford, CT - Southern CT Synchronized Skating (SCSS) has established the SoNo Ice House as their official secondary rink of record, as filed with the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA). SCSS calls Terry Conners Rink in Stamford, CT home. The Southern CT Synchronized Skating Parent Organization (SCSSPO) will continue to maintain their relationship with the primary rink in Stamford. In addition, they will utilize the SoNo Ice House in their efforts to expand awareness and participation in their program.
The first program to be offered by the SCSSPO at the SoNo Ice House is an Introduction to Synchronized skating in Norwalk. This two day clinic is targeted towards beginner skaters who are interested in trying synchronized skating before committing to a team. The introductory clinic will be held from 4:00 pm to 4:50 pm on August 27 and 29.

The sessions will be instructed by professional SCSS coaches; Gina Valenzano-Gomez, Val Legutko
and Kari Pace.
The SCSSPO has a long standing Stamford presence and has primarily recruited skaters for their three teams from the skating school at Terry Conners Rink. In an effort to grow awareness of their program the expansion initiative is timed well with the opening of the SoNo Ice House in Norwalk.
Southern Connecticut Synchronized Skating (SCSS) takes great pride in offering a rewarding opportunity to the figure skater searching for a competitive team experience.
The SCSS includes the teams, Sprites (Beginner 2), Shimmers(Pre Juvenile) and Shadows (Open Juvenile), and ranges in ages and skating ability from beginners to the accomplished, making room for just about everyone.
