Camp SoundWaters Accepting Registration

Register today for Camp SoundWaters

A few spaces are still available for SoundWaters summer camp programs for Grades K-8. Each day is filled with exciting, hands-on environmental science and learning, canoeing, swimming, and coastal exploration, or sailing on Holly Pond or Long Island Sound.

One-and two-week sessions take place at SoundWaters Coastal Center at Cove Island Park, less than five minutes off I-95, exit 9. Prices vary depending on camp session.

Educators include SoundWaters full-time education staff; college graduates and students; all who are American Red Cross trained; one instructor to six to nine students depending on age. Optional swim lessons and parent/child activity included in every session.

Each day, campers discover the animals and explore the habitats of Long Island Sound, at the coast and inside the Center’s Teaching Aquarium and Learning Lab.

Beginner and Intermediate sailing sessions on Holly Pond are filled with rigging instruction, sail handling and teamwork. Advanced sailors learn to improve and challenge their skills on Long Island Sound. US Sailing Certified instructors.

Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday; Sailing camp, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Extended hours are available. Please visit www.soundwaters.org to register online, or call 203-406-3319 for more information and to inquire about scholarships.
