Summer Camps in Stamford

Patch Picks to help you and your kids get ready for summer camp.

The snow is melting and slowly — surely spring is approaching. What does that mean? Summer is just around the corner, and with that comes summer camp. Patch Picks is here to guide you through the many different summer camps Stamford has to offer.

Pathfinder Adventure Camp at

Pathfinder Adventure Camp’s goal is to provide activities and an atmosphere that promotes character building, creative thinking, positive peer relationships and skill building. Through a combination of adventure activities and more traditional camp activities, they strive to offer our campers a unique way to experience their summer. Camp runs from June 27 through Aug. 12, Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is for campers aged 10 to 14.

Long Ridge Camp offers your child a wide variety of activities to participate in, from sports and arts to nature and swimming. Camp runs from June 27th through August 19th, Monday - Friday 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is for campers aged 3-13. Transportation is provided and there are 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 week sessions available.

Summer Camp

If your child enjoys arts and crafts, Lakeside Pottery Summer Camp is a great choice. Your child can enroll in one or multiple weeks. Snack, material and firing fees included. The price is $275 a week ($295 if adding toolset). Camp begins the week of June 27, 2011 Monday through Thursday for ages 8-11 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. and for ages 10 -13 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Tennis Camp

Does your child enjoy tennis? Or perhaps wants to learn a new sport? Shippan Raquet Club is offering camp specials – two children for the price of one (one time only) and 10 percent off each additional week if you sign up for more than one week of camp. The price is $350 per week. Camp runs for 11 Weeks beginning June 13th through the week Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Three 2-week sessions of summer camps featuring age-appropriate art and nature activities for children aged 18 months to 14 years are held in June and July. The full camp catalog can be downloaded from the SMNC's website. SMNC’s camp provides both half-day and full-day child-only camps as well as Parent/Child camps for children ages 2-and-up on Monday and Wednesday and Tuesday and Thursday.

Summer Dance Intensive

Connecticut Ballet Center presents Summer Intensive 2011, a six-week half-day and full-day program for recreational and pre-professional dancers ages 8 to 18. The Connecticut Ballet School’s Summer Camp offers an exciting roster of guest faculty and comprehensive curriculum of technique and repertory classes. Half-day Program is $175 per week, $1050 for full session with an early bird special (payment prior to May 15): $150 per week, $900 for full session. The Full-day Program is $400 per week, $2400 for full session with an early bird special (payment prior to May 15): $350 per week, $2,100 for full session.
