Stamford Schools Staff Convocation Kicks Off 2013-14 School Year

Stamford schools are scheduled to open for all students on Monday, August 26th. Superintendent Hamilton welcomes staff on Wednesday, Aug. 21st at Westhill High School.

With Stamford schools scheduled to open for all students on August 26th, the faculty of Stamford Public Schools are set to gather for Superintendent Dr. Winnie Hamilton's convocation for staff on Wednesday, Aug. 21st at Westhill High School.  

The convocation is the superintendent's official welcome of staff to the 2013-2014 school year and takes the theme, "Grit: Passion, Pursuit and Perseverance."

Refreshments will be served in the courtyard at 7:30am and remarks and presentations will take place at 8:15am in the auditorium.

All faculty are asked to bring a canned or boxed food item for the fourth annual SEA "Fill the Bus Food Drive" to benefit the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, which provides food to 100 non-profit agencies and programs that are dedicated to feeding low-income individuals and families, including the Domus Foundation, the Faith Tabernacle Pantry and Jewish Family Services.
