Less than a week after the Board of Education in the city, the board on Tuesday voted to appoint Edith Presley, previously one of the district's assistant directors for special education services, to be the next assistant principal at .
According to a report in the Stamford Advocate, Presley will take the place of Catherine Macchio, who is retiring from the Stamford Public Schools after 40 years.
According to the report, although , she has spent a good deal of her time at Stark working with teachers to create Individualized Education Programs for special education students. She also reportedly served as a central office liaison for the school in the district's cluster program.
