Manhattanville College to Create Rodney Dangerfield Institute for Comedy

The late comedian Rodney Dangerfield, known for his signature routine of never getting any respect, will gain a lifetime's worth of it when Manhattanville College creates a new institute in his honor to study comedy.

During its undergraduate commencement May 17, the school is expected to announce the establishment of Rodney Dangerfield Institute for the Study of Comedy, according to the television show Extra.

Specific details of the new institute were not immediately available, but it will offer special scholarships and feature an archive of Dangerfield's work, according to Extra.

In addition to the program, Dangerfield will also receive a posthumous honorary doctorate. Dangerfield died in 2004.
