Gallery: Stamford High School Class of 2013 Graduation

The Stamford High School class of 2013 filled the football stadium's field donned in Orange and Black as students one final time for graduation Thursday evening.

The 400 students heard from school and government officials and special guest speak, Stamford High grad and Curtain Call Executive Director Lou Ursone.

"Graduating from high school is a major accomplishment," said Ursone, who encouraged the students to embrace life's ever-changing direction and to never stop growing. "It should be the  first of many major accomplishments in your life, though... If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got... Keep learning."

Superintendent Winnie Hamilton told the students to always strive for success and never forget that working towards goals is the only way to accomplish anything.

"Remember, lives that are rich and rewarding are made, not found," she said. "Don't think about what you want from life. Think about what life wants from you... Be life learners... Your diploma is your ticket to exploration, adventure and challenge."
