Spa for the Spirit - Morning Retreat

“Moving Toward God -  Pilgrimage and Journey”

Everyone’s spiritual journey is unique – and sometimes we don’t even know where we’ve been until we slow down and look back. At this retreat morning we will explore all kinds of pilgrimages – we will hear interfaith stories of the haj to Mecca, of journeys to the Holy Land – and shorter pilgrimages we can make without leaving home.

  • Mapping our spiritual journeys, and our resting places
  •  Pilgrimages to holy sites away
  • Shorter journeys – walking a labyrinth, moving toward God in prayer.

The retreat will be facilitated by Kate Heichler, Pastor at Christ the Healer, a spiritual director, retreat leader and president of the Interfaith Council of Southwestern Connecticut. Guest speakers will include Zubaida Khan, a Muslim resident of Stamford active in interfaith activities.

Each retreat morning begins with breakfast at 8:30 and ends by 12:30, with time for silence, walking, writing, resting and reflection built in.

All are welcome, from any or no religious tradition. A suggested donation of $15-20 is asked, according to ability. Reservations are requested - please call 203-322-6991 or email office@christthehealerstamford.org to reserve.
