LAST FRONTIERS: Anthony Fiala and the Race to the North Pole
The Ziegler-Fiala expedition was a classic episode in the age of exploration. With the means and technology of their age, explorers would dedicate enormous amounts of time, money and effort to be first to achieve an arduous task, "never done before."
Last Frontiers: Anthony Fiala and the Race to the North Pole is an examination of a little known attempt to reach the North Pole that took place in 1903-05, based on a group of original objects held for many years in the Museum's collections and never shown before.
