Connecticut public and private sector healthcare organizations have begun to accelerate the implementation of the HITECH Act (aka Electronic Health Records adoption).
And, the White House, and federal departments including the IRS, Department of Labor, and Health and Human Services, are moving forward with their plans to implement healthcare reform (aka Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act).

Each of these two Acts contain extensive workforce funding focused on educational programs and training incentives, as well as job placement services to ensure that EHR implementation is timely and effective, and will effectively maximize the return on the government’s investment.
On May 19, 2011, The WorkPlace, Inc., led by the Forum’s producer, Human Resource Marketing Services (HRMS), will present a major health technology workforce event bringing together local and state stakeholders to be affected by this sweeping legislation. The forum will be held at the Stamford campus of the University of Connecticut.

The 2011 HealthTECH Workforce Forum will address the workforce planning and development needs for an array of constituencies including:
