Gray Farms Nursery School to Host Open House for Prospective Students

GRAY FARMS NURSERY SCHOOL TO HOST OPEN HOUSE, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5

Gray Farms Nursery School, a licensed pre-school in Stamford, Ct., will host an open house for prospective students and parents on Saturday, November 5, 1-3 PM.Gray Farms Nursery School is located at 884 Newfield Avenue at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Stamford, Ct.

Parents who are interested in placement for the current session (2011-12) and/or the next school year (2012-13) are invited to visit the school and meet with staff and board members.

Gray Farms Nursery School offers three, four and five-day-a-week programs, from 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM. Other daily components of the schedule include an optional Lunch Bunch (12:15-1 PM) and Extended Day hours (1-3 PM). Gray Farms’ calendar follows the Stamford Public School calendar.

Gray Farms Nursery School provides a warm, caring and safe environment indoors and outdoors for three and four-year-old children. Its varied programs and low student-teacher ratio enables the school to meet the diverse developmental needs of children ages three and four.

Each day offers a balance of art, science, language, music and movement with appropriate change of pace to meet the emotional, physical, social and intellectual needs of each child. Through play, children are encouraged to develop new skills and ideas, while learning to use their creativity and imagination.

Gray Farms Nursery School’s curriculum is aligned with the Connecticut State Department of Education’s Preschool Curriculum Framework, which outlines specific skills and behaviors across four domains of development: personal and social, physical, cognitive and creative expression/aesthetic.
