Ensuring Care for your Disabled Loved One: Conservatorship and Mental Illness
How can you guarantee that your loved one receives the oversight and benefits necessary when he or she is disabled by mental illness? The Who, When, How, and What of obtaining authority to be an oversight caretaker in these vital matters will be explained by Judge David W. Hopper and social workers Clara Loeffel and Tina Corlett of the Conservatorship Committee of the Town of Greenwich Probate Court. The legal and administrative aspects of conservatorship and how it can help families will be explained. The speakers will discuss assistance available to conservators and potential conservators, case management, and reporting for the conserved.
