Cloonan School Violinist Joins Fairfield Co. Honors Orchestra [VIDEO]

Brian Kaether played for the Board of Education Tuesday night to raise awareness for the upcoming Fairfield County String Festival.

Six Stamford students will join the most talented and proficient string players from around Fairfield County in Danbury on Saturday, March 2, 2013, for the Fairfield County String Festival

Guest conductors work with students ranging from 6th grade to 9th grade to arrange performances for the event.

Brian Kaether, from Cloonan, will join the Honors Orchestra, in which only 16 violinists from around the county and across all four grade levels are selected. Tuesday night, he played live for the Board of Education to raise awareness for the upcoming event. Also playing will be:

  • Emma Cali, Cloonan
  • Lucy Hart, Cloonan
  • Paola Socci, Cloonan
  • Julia Hassantalebi, Rippowam
  • Isha Parikh, Rippowam

The students learn under the instruction of Ms. Wendy Delson, who is the strings teacher for Cloonan, Dolan and Rippowam Middle Schools.

The concert begins at 3 p.m. at the Western CT State University.
