Visions for Vacancies: 655 Atlantic St.

We examine buildings in the Stamford community not living up to their full potential to see what the community would like to see spring up there.

Vacant buildings are a problem for a community. Patch wants to know what you think the solution can be.

In our occasional series Visions for Vacancies we’ll look at vacant businesses and buildings in Stamford and surrounding areas to see what our readers want to see move into their community.

Today, we’re looking at 655 Atlantic St., on a high visibility street between Dock and Henry streets near the Stamford Train Station. It was spotted on the listings section of Pyramid Real Estate Group.

It's a free-standing building on .14 acres with 3,534 square feet of space listed at $775,000, or approximately $219 per square foot. According to Pyramid, highlists include town water & sewer, a new roof in 2012, oil heat in an above-ground tank, location in an MG Zone and the ability to walk to the train station.

What do you think could go in this space? Let us know in the comments section.
