State Rep. Fox Reappointed to Chair of Judiciary Committee

State Representative Gerald Fox III has served the 146th Assembly District since 2005.

State Representative Gerald Fox III (D-Stamford) has been reappointed to serve as House Chairman of the Connecticut General Assembly’s Judiciary Committee by Speaker of the House-designate Brendan Sharkey (D-Hamden)

The committee oversees all matters relating to courts, judicial procedures, and criminal law. It is also concerned with all other matters relating to the Judicial Department, the Department of Correction, and to the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.

"Rep. Fox has established himself as a respected and fair leader of the Judiciary Committee and is very deserving of continuing as chair," said Speaker of the House-designate Sharkey. "Judiciary handles some of the most important and complicated policy and law decisions we face each year, and Gerry is someone we can always count on to meet these challenges head on."

Fox has served the 146th Assembly District, which consists of the south central section of Stamford, since 2005. In addition to his chairmanship, he will serve as a member of the Executive and Legislative Nominations and Transportation Committees during the upcoming legislative session, which begins January 9.
