State Rep. Fox Honored by CCADV

State representative whose district includes Stamford has fought to strengthen domestic violence laws.

In recognition of his work in strengthening state domestic violence laws, the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) recently honored with its "Coalition Crusader" award.

As per a release, Rep. Fox introduced legislation earlier this year that expands the state’s existing domestic violence laws by “increasing access to restraining and protective orders; strengthening regulatory authority over bail bond agents and addressing ‘undercutting;’ maintaining funding for 24-7 staffing at the state's domestic violence emergency shelters; and improving information sharing between state agencies,” among other measures.

The new laws took effect Oct. 1.
