[Stamford Snapshot] Rededicating Stamford's Jackie Robinson Park

Officials met Thursday evening to unveil the revamped West Side park

Mayor Michael Pavia and other government officials and community leaders met Thursday evening to rededicate the Jackie Robinson park on Stamford's West Side.

The park underwent a 6-month cosmetic facelift and sports a new walking path, new benches, new picnic tables and benches and new landscaping and shrubbery.

"Jackie Robinson chose Stamford as his home," Pavia said. "He was proud of Stamford. I think he would be a little bit prouder with what we're doing here today."
