Stamford Snapshot: Chris Shays in Stamford

The US. Senate candidate Christopher Hunter Shays was in Stamford Tuesday morning to meet constituents and "reconnect with people."

Shays visited the Parkway Diner and shops along the High Ridge Shopping Center. He chatted with anyone and everyone, and was well-received by all.

One of the highlights for Shays was when he met Harry Weinroth, 84, and his wife Luba. Weinroth spent 6 years in a concentration camp during World War II before being liberated and coming to America.

"This is just one example of the incredible stories you get to hear when you live a public life," Shays said.
