Mayor Pavia Lifts Snow Emergency

Residents are permitted to keep their vehicles in parking garages at no cost until 6 p.m. Thursday

Mayor Michael Pavia announced Thursday that he has lifted the for the city, which has been in effect since January 26.

Vehicles that are parked in any of the city's municipal garages may remain there until 6 p.m. Thursday evening. The snow emergency required that residents remove their vehicles from snow emergency routes and park them in city garages.

This is the third snow emergency that Mayor Pavia has had to declare since the day after Christmas.

is also reminding residents that garbage and recycling will be collected one day later than the normal schedule for remainder of this week. The regular collection schedule will resume next week.
