Mayor of Stamford Visits Soup Kitchen, Touts 'Thunder on the Sound' [Video]

Mayor Michael Pavia toured the Yerwood Center New Covenant House Soup Kitchen on Wednesday to promote major Stamford charity event 'Thunder on the Sound'.

On Wednesday morning, Stamford's and , located at 90 Fairfield Ave., welcomed Mayor Michael Pavia.

Pavia was introduced to hundreds of local summer school kids and teens as he toured the halls of the facility, and gave a speech promoting 'Thunder on the Sound' in the soup kitchen itself.

Thunder on the Sound is scheduled for September 18, 2011. All proceeds from 'Thunder on the Sound' will go to the Yerwood Center and New Covenant House Soup Kitchen.
