Welcome to our newest column "Minutes with the Mayor." In this new weekly video feature, Stamford Patch will interview Mayor Michael Pavia about the issues facing the city, what topics government boards and committees will be discussing and what scheduled events city residents need to know about.
This week, Pavia discusses the city budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal year, which was by the last week, as well as the his proposed fire plan, which seeks to combine all of the city's volunteer departments into one single entity. presented last week to the Public Safety Committee.
