Welcome to our newest column "Minutes with the Mayor." In this new weekly video feature, Stamford Patch will interview Mayor Michael Pavia about the issues facing the city, what topics government boards and committees will be discussing and what scheduled events city residents need to know about.

This week, Pavia encourages all Stamford residents to come out for this year's Memorial Day Parade, which will start at noon on May 29. The parade starts on Summer Street and will end in .
